Blues Up The River

I was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. Graduated from New York University. Did the complete hippie trip, including communes in Berkeley and Oregon, from 1967 to 1977 when I got married. The most significant and wonderful event of my life was when my daughter was born in 1983. Worked 23 years at various horse racing tracks like Golden Gate Fields and Bay Meadows, also the Jockey Club in Santa Rosa. It was a good way to have a real job without having a real job. Divorced in 1991. Retired in 2002 due to a work-related back injury. Now I live by myself at the end of a dead end street in Camp Meeker. I love it. I write 2 articles a month in the Russian River Monthly, including a music column and do the Blues Up the River show on KGGV the first and third Thursdays of each month. I also have published some short stories and have written a novel which sits in a drawer wondering why.
