I started playing the harmonica at the age of thirteen.When I was fifteen I heard " Sonny Boy Williiamson II " on an album from the late 1940s',and I wanted to make my harmonica sound like that! I'm still try'n.I have played in several different blues bands through out my life,but playing music for a living is a hard way to go.I have quit playing music three times in my life,but I keep coming back to the blues. Being able to play music is a gift,and I will keep on playing as long as I can.
My current band is called "The Blues Daddys" thus came my DJ nick name for the"Blues with a Feeling" radio show on KGGV.My radio show features blues music from the late1920's up to the 2000's. As with all the DJs' at KGGV, I play from my personal collection of records and CDs'. You will hear country blues, city blues, and of course a lot of blues harmonica. Tune in on Wednesday nights at nine until eleven for nothing but the blues!
